teacher. geographer. artist.
I am political geographer and educator, exploring the intersections of space, power, education, and citizenship. My research examines how schools shape civic identities, the role of education policy in governance, and the ways young people navigate belonging. My work also incorporates creative methodologies, including alternative map-making and cartographic techniques, to challenge traditional representations of place, identity, and civic engagement.
Currently, I am a graduate student at the University of South Carolina under the advisement of Caroline Nagel. I received my Masters in Geography also from USC, and my B.A.Ed from the University of Mississippi.
